The PHX sign is a 15 lb, multi-line display that requires a host controller.  The PHX signs can run alone or be linked together in series to run both synchronized and/or independent messages.  The actual LED matrix of the unit is 48 pixels high and 144 pixels wide. There are 3 LED boards of 48x48 pixels that make up each unit.  This allows for character heights to be split into multiple configurations.  The font text can range in size from 7 to 16 pixels in height.  The text can be aligned within any given line to the top or bottom and justified to the left, right, or middle.  Messages can be displayed statically or as a continuous stream and text can be flashed or made bold as a whole or in part using simple script commands.  The LED colors available for this unit are red, green, amber, blue, and white.  If the unit is in an outdoor application, ultra-bright amber or red LEDs are the best for handling the daylight hours.
