The NXB (Next Bus) signs are used in public bus stops as part of a network to alert passengers to the arrival of the next vehicle.  The NXB is a 16x96 pixel display that requires a wireless feed.  The LED field allows for two lines of 12-16 characters or one double-high line of 6-8 characters.  Messages can be displayed statically or as a continuous stream and text can be flashed or made bold as a whole or in part using simple script commands.  The LED colors available for this unit are red, green, amber, blue, and white. The majority of them are a traditional red or amber because they read better in the daylight. The NXB is H-5.25” x W-18.25” x D-4.25” and weighs 16 lbs.

The units are built using an extremely robust stainless steel chassis and a polycarbonate face.  This design allows it to weather the extremes of the elements and vandals with hockey sticks and hammers.  In testing, it was abused by the best and survived intact.  Four different security screw types were used to piece it all together; none but the truly dedicated and well equipped can breach its’ defense system.
